I matched this reel with a 6'6 Okuma Competition 6-15lb 2 Piece Baitcaster Rod with Split Butt and loaded it with 14lb Gliss monotex to try this hybrid mainline. The rig is primarily used for baitfishing shallow bottom for King George Whiting in habitat where accurate casting is often needed. The above combo has proven to be Schmick for purpose, silky smooth and well balanced.
